The Christian Alliance for Orphans unites more than 150 respected Christian organizations and a national network of churches. Working together, our joint initiatives inspire and equip Christians to “defend the fatherless” (Isaiah 1:17).
Ultimately, we seek to stimulate and help grow Christian communities committed to adoption, foster care and global orphan care in the local church. Our united efforts include the annual Summit conference, the Orphan Sunday campaign, the Global Movements Initiative, the National Foster Care Initiative, and an array of other shared undertakings.
Connect Network is a collaborative network of NPOs and Churches working together with women and children at risk, to see communities transformed in South Africa.

We are inspiring lasting change in children’s lives through the power of collective action because we have a vision to see children safe, well and fulfilling their God-given potential.

The Orphan Challenge
A focus on caring for orphans with a view to a World Without Orphans

One of the biggest challenges facing the Christian Church today is the ever-increasing number of children growing up without the loving care of their parents and without knowing their Heavenly Father. These children, totaling 153 million, according to current estimates from UNICEF1, live throughout the world – from war torn Sudan to poverty-stricken India, from transitioning Ukraine to affluent nations in Europe and North America. If we brought all these children together they would comprise the 7th largest nation in the world … a veritable “Orphan Nation.” God knows all orphaned children by name, and He has a purpose for each of them. “Father of the fatherless is God is His holy habitation. God sets the solitary in families” (Ps. 68:5-6),
